The Reel Review
Very loosely based on the Stephen King novel, this ten episode horror series, like the 2007 film, is about a small town in Maine battling a mysterious fog filled with deadly mutated critters as well as some pretty irrational survivalist behavior. The varied mist monsters are scary the handful of times we see them in the first few episodes. Unfortunately, the bulk of this poorly written series consists of ridiculously contrived subplots and dialogue so moronic that by the finale that you will be rooting firmly for the mist to prevail. It’s easy to see why this lame Spike TV reboot was cancelled after just one season. Save your time and just watch the better 2007 movie adaptation instead.
