Sadly, the magic of the original is lacking in this sequel, which has the Barden Bellas seeking a world acapella championship title while juggling plans for their post-college lives.
The predictability of the story would be excusable had it at least been less corny and more clever and funny. Fortunately the singing is good and the film does have a couple of nice surprises and a sweet finale. The German singing group Das Sound Machine is hilarious. If you see it, stick around for the credits.
