The Reel Review
Marvel Comics’ rag-tag crew of misfit superheroes, led by Chris Pratt, is back, this time to solve the mysterious identity of our star’s father. Visual effects, makeup and music are all off the charts – unfortunately the sequel lacks the cute, quirky charm of the original, instead opting for a string of frenetic, trippy music videos assembled around a tedious, one dimensional story. Yes there are plenty of laughs and sweet moments but this sequel is just ok, which is particularly disappointing given the extraordinary effort and number of people involved in its making.
