The Reel Review
One of the first disaster flicks ever made and still one of the best. Yes, the dialogue is cheesy and some of the characters are one dimensional, but its message, about never giving up and having the courage to follow your instincts even when it goes against what the majority is doing, gives this film a big heart. And Shelley Winters was epic – well deserving of her Golden Globe supporting actress win and Oscar nomination.
