The Reel Review
Clever dialogue, fast pacing and a super cute story combine to make this tale, about married superheroes (Holly Hunter, Craig T. Nelson) who come out of retirement to fight a villain who’s been knocking off their colleagues, an instant classic. The film made history (deservedly so) as Pixar’s first multiple Oscar winner – for Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing – by delivering a clever, funny animated story with lovable, interesting characters and an action-packed story. And Edna Mode, who was voiced by story creator Brad Bird, made the mantra “No Capes!” a mainstay. The film is, as the name says, incredible.
