We have all seen the heartbreaking tales of rescued teens reunited with their families after being held captive for years and wondered about the horrible psychological toll it takes on them. And while most movies gloss over that darker side, it is the focus of Room. Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay are outstanding as the young mother and her child born in captivity. It’s a raw, nerve wracking and ultimately rewarding movie.
