The Reel Review
This visually interesting but disjointed sci-fi tale, produced by the Wachowskis (the creators of The Matrix movies) is one hot stinking mess. Mila Kunis is Jupiter, the unknowing genetic replicant of a galactic queen that owns Earth, who finds herself fighting a galactic family member (Eddie Redmayne), who wants to “harvest” the planet’s population. The story is nonsensical, with Channing Tatum as a Xanadu-esque mercenary who scoots around on space rollerblades helping her. Uh, no.
