The Reel Review
A timid high school teacher (Charlie Day) gets a colleague with rage control issues (Ice Cube) fired on the last day of the school year, prompting the fired teacher to challenge him to an after-school fist fight in the parking lot.
The premise is a more ridiculous, much raunchier, expletive-filled knockoff of 1987’s Three O’Clock High, with a slew of predictable jokes, wildly inappropriate teacher/student interactions and slapstick comedy – some of which is truly funny, but most of which is truly not.
There is, however, one standout moment – the elementary talent show, which is jaw-droppingly hysterical and alone, worth the price of admission. This is one fist fight, however, from which you probably should just walk away.
