Things go terribly awry when an easygoing realtor dons a clown costume discovered at one of his listings for his young son’s birthday party, only to discover that the costume, and the sinister demon possessing it, won’t be coming off. Despite a slow, awkward start and some goofy story gaps, this strange horror/comedy churns out one surreal, heart-pounding scene after another – the Chuck E. Cheese rampage is disturbingly brilliant – as our main character is transformed into something truly horrific. The story behind the clown demon is chilling, and while the gore is a bit much for most viewers, this is a gutsy, albeit imperfect little horror film.
