Kristen Wiig co-wrote this story of Annie, a single, out of work bakery chef in the throes of a life slump. But when best friend Lillian announces she is getting married, Annie goes through motions as the Maid of Honor, until one of Lillian’s wealthier, bossy friends (Rose Byrne) threatens to displace her.
Director Paul Feig keeps the laughs rolling in this bawdy comedy, aided by a strong supporting cast (Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, Wiig, Rudolph and Byrne), all of whom have impeccable comic timing. Hysterical fun.
