The Reel Review
Gabrielle Union stars in this home invasion thriller about a mother trying to rescue her two children from her late father’s remote, high-tech house in the woods after a group of criminals kidnap the kids while searching for a hidden safe filled with millions of dollars. Far-fetched is one thing, but the listless plot is little more than a series of ridiculous, suspense-free moments, each sillier than the last, with even the usually excellent Union delivering an angry mamma bear performance that feels phoned-in and utterly unbelievable. With a runtime of an hour and 28 minutes, it is about an hour and 20 minutes too long.
