The Reel Review
Charlize Theron produces and stars in this raucous spy thriller as a British agent trying to protect the identities of her colleagues in 1989 Berlin after her boo (also a spy) is killed while on a mission. This film is non-stop action – a frenetic orgy of violence infused with catchy, high energy 80s era pop songs and a pop culture showcased history lesson leading up to the end of the Berlin Wall. The movie is so over the top both in story and violence however, that it eventually devolves into chaotic nonsense. But as an action hero, Theron is spectacular and the MTV-esque visuals are fun.
