The Reel Review

B+

This biopic, based on the true story of Great Britain’s unlikely 1988 Olympic ski jumper Mike “Eddie the Eagle” Edwards, is cute, campy and corny… and I loved it. While it certainly has a “been there, done that” sort of textbook feel to it, strong performances by Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman make this film’s message, about never giving up on your dreams, soar like an eagle.
