The Reel Review
This is the sequel to 2008’s The Strangers, the uber-creepy, intense home invasion horror film about masked killers inexplicably terrorizing a couple in their remote vacation home. This time the killers are terrorizing a vacationing family of four as they arrive at a curiously empty trailer park.
Director Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door) wastes a super spooky setting and a well done score on worn out horror cliches, including an array of increasingly poor choices by our family in peril, led by Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) and Martin Henderson (Everest).
Regardless, this could still have been a fun, mindless scarefest had it not gone completely off the rails by its maddeningly stupid ending. At least the trailer (the one below, not the house trailer in the movie) is good.
