The Reel Review
Set 20 years after the original Jurassic Park, this sequel, about a bigger, better theme park, follows the same basic plot, just on a grander, theme-park-gone-amuck level, complete with attacking, flying pterodactyls; a scene-stealing liopleurodon (for all you Charlie the Unicorn fans); and perhaps the most impressive special effect of all… Bryce Dallas Howard fleeing a mutant dinosaur… in high heels. The incessant product placement is annoying and the plot a bit hackneyed but even so, Chris Pratt is awesome, there are plenty of thrills and laughs and the homage to the original film in a couple of scenes was a nice touch.
